DESCRIPTION
Anegundi, often called the 'Older Cousin of Hampi', is an ancient village located on the northern banks of the Tungabhadra River, opposite Hampi. It is believed to be over 3,000 years old, making it one of the oldest plateaus on Earth and a significant part of the mythological Kishkindha, the kingdom of the Vanaras (monkey warriors) in the Ramayana.
